Step Closer to Your Spirit

We are conditioned to live lives disconnected from our own spirits, which is why it is easier to fall into the mental trap of worrying about possible worst-case scenarios than it is to tap into our intuition and create a beautiful reality of our liking for our powerful thoughts to manifest. Our go-to is worry and fear, which is why so many people live in constant states of anxiety. Those emotions are further fed by outside sources and then even further compounded when they become the talking points for connection between people. After all, energy flows to where focus goes, and that which we focus on grows bigger. 

The program is so strong and has been woven into EVERY aspect of our lives that most people feel weird if life is going well for them, they’re not stressed, and/or they’re experiencing massive amounts of joy. I hear so many people talk about the fact that when things are good, they’re always waiting for “the other shoe to drop” ie for something to go wrong. Because life couldn’t possibly just be good for the sake of being good. People can’t possibly exist in a stress-free state when the world is on a lock down. 

Wrong. It is not only possible to stay aligned with our own spirits and therefore in a state of peace regardless of what’s going on in the outside world, but I have personally been experiencing it. The question becomes, how badly do you want peace over connection through misery? How badly do you want alignment over tuning into the mainstream narrative? How are you benefiting from your misalignment? Does it allow you to connect with people who are also misaligned? Do you receive attention when you go on about your stressors and worries to other people? Does it help you avoid fully assessing, receiving clear awareness of, and changing patterns of thought or behavior that aren’t serving you?

Choosing healing over our own comfort isn’t easy. To show up and own the fact that our insides are what are being projected back to us within our own physical reality can be a tough pill to swallow. You see, it’s never been about the other people or the outside situation, and it’s always been about our own beliefs about ourselves and life. I don’t know about you, but my spirit has been pushing me to evolve out of my old fear-based programming, and out of the patterns and cycles that were constantly repeating and holding me back. I didn’t come here to just live the last life over again, and since you’re here, I don’t think you did either. We’re here to push past our own limiting beliefs and have a fully lit up, sovereign experience as spirits having a human experience. We’re here to tap into our limitless nature as we step more fully into our own power as multidimensional, spiritual beings! 

Is it “easier” to keep repeating the same unhealthy thoughts and behaviors over and over again? Yes, sort of. I mean, you do then get to stay in your familiar, albeit sometimes miserable, comfort zone of old habits and old ways of being and thinking. But I’m telling you, there is a life that exists beyond the current bounds of your comfort zone that have to be experienced to be believed. And we’re all capable of living it. Our own inner peace and alignment has to become a priority. Peace has to become more important than comfort, more important than relationships no longer serving you, more important than the dis-ease that you’ve taken on as your identity, and more important than a pandemic. 

One big way to disconnect from our own spirit is to make decisions from a place of fear. When someone in a reading told me that I had been making a lot of decisions from a place of fear, I had a light bulb go off. I had NEVER thought about it like that before. But I could definitely look back and see how I had often chosen which option to pursue, because I was afraid of something. How have you been allowing fear to make your decisions? That awareness alone is what made it possible to see what I had been doing and begin to change it. When faced with decisions, I began to check in to see what option was from a place of fear and which option was from a place of love. I started choosing love. 

We step away from our spirits in many ways. One way is by doing things that we really don’t want to do, or holding ourselves back and not doing things we want to do. That inner knowing you get that something is meant for you is your spirit guiding you towards something in your highest good. Likewise, the pit you feel in your stomach that develops when someone asks you to something that you really don’t want to do is your spirit guiding you away from something not meant for you. It is up to each of us to learn what our spirit’s guidance feels like, so that we can follow it into our own alignment.

I know that times feel tough right now as much of the world is living in lock down, but I am here to remind you of your immense, innate power even in times like these. If you have the power of thought still intact, you have the ability to imagine and therefore create and align with a new reality of your choosing. We must not get lost in the current moment to the point that we limit ourselves for all that can be. We are meant to fully experience and live fully in this life, but if we’re constantly looking to others or to the current state of the outside world for our information of what’s possible, we will never jump off the hamster wheel long enough to begin thriving. Our beliefs are based on the past that we’ve experienced. When we hold strong beliefs about ourselves, the way the world is and the way the world works, we place severe limitations on ourselves and our ability to experience a reality that’s different from the one we’ve “always known.” 

So, I encourage you to start listening to the guidance of your own spirit that comes in the form of your joy, your passion, and your intuition. Start being who you came here to be by showing up fully as your own, unique version of a spirit having a human experience. Don’t shy away from expressing yourself and your truths in whatever form feels right for you. We always have a choice in this life with everything we do, even the thoughts that we’re having. Today, are you going to choose thoughts and actions that free you, cause you peace, and joy, and align you with your own spirit? Or are you going to fall back on your go-to emotions of fear and worry and lack that keep you trapped in an energetic prison where your spirit’s guidance falls on deaf ears? It doesn’t matter what is going on in the outside world, we always have a choice for how we’re choosing to show up and perceive it. A human in alignment with their own spirit is the most powerful force on the planet. Imagine what the world would be like if we all shifted our focus from the outside to our own alignment! The work we each do to connect with our own spirits is immensely powerful. We each experience our own, personally created reality, so it’s always in our best interest to do things to align with our spirit and to the best possible outcomes for our lives.
